Grumble - screen shot
Grumble v1.10

Grumble is a software synthesizer I programmed a few years ago with Turbo Pascal 7. It is a bit old program and there are many betters available (such as Orangator), but Grumble has a bit different way of processing sounds which makes it different. It's best for creating small sounds for chip-songs, but you can also use it as a sample editor. The sound system is self-made 8-bit and only SB-compatible (but not all of them such as SBLive!). Grumble runs only under MS-DOS.
Files are saved as raw data in SMP format (8-bit). Grumble can read raw data files. Version 1.10 can also load IFF and XI -formats (with minor bugs).
Package includes demo-songs [XM] and many ready samples created with Grumble.
